Potholes? Street light out? Tall grass? Problem solved.
The City of Hamilton is pleased to announce its new 311 app, called MyHamilton (311), which will allow citizens to report quality-of-life issues, find important information, and request City services. MyHamilton (311) will launch on “311 Day,” March 11, 2020.
The new system will better equip residents with the tools they need to get things done in their neighborhood. MyHamilton (311) will allow Hamilton residents to provide City staff with the locations, photos, and descriptions of issues in their neighborhood. Additionally, this new app will act as a portal to other useful tools and sites for those who live and/or work in Hamilton.
“I believe residents will find this new app to be a useful tool for everyday living in Hamilton,” said Brandon Saurber, Hamilton’s Director of Neighborhoods. “This new system allows requests from residents to be handled by City staff in a more streamlined fashion, ultimately improving the level of service.”
According to Saurber, customer service is extremely important to the City, and this system provides direct access to the people who actually perform the work. There will even be a link to a customer satisfaction survey when a request is closed.
“We’re committed to continual improvement of our customer service through this system,” said Saurber. “It’s the best way to get anything done in the City because the system holds us accountable.”
The MyHamilton (311) mobile app will be available for download on Android and iOS devices on March 11, 2020. Current ‘311 Hamilton’ users on iOS will automatically be upgraded to the new MyHamilton (311) app through an app store update. However, Android users will need to download the new app separately. In addition to the mobile apps, citizens can also send requests through the City of Hamilton’s website, www.hamilton-oh.gov.
This new app is built in partnership with SeeClickFix. The SeeClickFix platform provides City officials with a centralized system to manage issues from creation to resolution — engaging Hamilton residents throughout the process.
