Love Your Block now accepting applications for 2020 program

Thanks to a national grant, residents of Hamilton’s North End and Jefferson neighborhoods can apply for free minor exterior beautification projects.

The Love Your Block program is back in 2020 in the North End and Jefferson neighborhoods!

City of Hamilton is excited to have the Love Your Block program back in Spring 2020. The program will bring equipment, materials, and other resources to help residents make improvements to their homes and surrounding areas. The goal is to partner with homeowners, residents, and volunteers in the North End and Jefferson neighborhoods to beautify and improve the community, one block at a time.

Applicants can choose from a variety of services that resident volunteers will provide this spring and summer such as landscaping, weeding and raking, brush removal, and power washing. The Love Your Block team in city hall will choose 3-5 residents to serve in both neighborhoods. Additionally, these service days will include neighborhood clean-ups around the property. 

This year, Love Your Block is taking both paper and online applications from residents. Applications can be found and completed at City Hall (345 High Street). The online application can be found at www.17stronghamilton.org/loveyourblock. Applicants only need to complete one form, either on paper or online. 

The applications are due by Friday, April 10th at 3 PM.
